I wish we could “download” information quickly, like they do in The Matrix.
Maybe someday.
It’s interesting though….if I went back in time and told myself what I know now….I would NOT have believed me.
Some things have to be learned through process.
Personally, I dislike “process”. It’s seems so laggy.
I think, “Hey let’s go with the answers already!” lol

A veteran equine veterinarian argues that traditional veterinary medicine mainly treats symptoms, not root causes, which is why many horses never fully recover. Through alternative modalities and energy work, she concludes that most horse health problems stem from blocked energy-field communication and accumulated toxins, not wear, age, or genetics. She claims issues like lameness, arthritis, ulcers, navicular disease, laminitis complications, and breathing problems are largely caused by human practices (shoeing, trims, vaccines, diet, environment) and can be fully resolved by correcting these root causes. She promotes nutrition based on varied grass hay, barefoot hoof care, and her own energy-based method (TBT), asserting that horse owners can learn to heal most chronic issues themselves, using vets mainly for emergencies.

After 30 years as a horse veterinar and treating thousands of horses, I realized something shocking. Almost everything we’re taught in veterinary medicine only treats symptoms, not the root cause. And that’s why so many horses stay manageable but never actually get better. In the next 20 minutes, I’ll share the truth I wish someone had told me on day one, including what actually keeps horses healthy and how to heal issues at the root. First lesson, I learned veterinary medicine only treats symptoms not the real causes. Traditional veterinary medicine taught me how to find the pain or discomfort and fix it. So for example, in a lame horse, find the painful part and treat it to stop the pain. Well, this is helpful. But when I graduated from vet school, I thought I would know everything to fix horse problems. But with my first year as a vet, I ran into problems with no real answer, such as shifting or phantom lameness, back soreness, joint issues, and lots more. Sure, there were some treatments you could try, but they only helped temporarily, if at all. One time, I ran into a lady whose horse had back soreness. Her current vet was using serapin injections.
Renee (00:01:12.04)
Serapin was made from the carnivorous pitcher plant. Serapin would essentially block the nerves so the back wasn’t feeling any pain. Did it make sense to do this? Well,. The vet found the pain and got rid of it, as we’re taught. But I thought to myself, What are we, vets, doing? We are paralyzing nerves. How far are we going to go to block pain before we actually try to fix something? Now, that was 25 years ago, but it started me thinking. By the way, Serapin production was discontinued in 2019. Second lesson, I learned that alternative modalities can work. I started searching for real answers beyond veterinary medicine. I’m certified in both animal chiropractic and equine acupuncture. These modalities opened my eyes to how connected the body is. If your knee hurts, it could be because the hip is misaligned and the knee is actually a compensation. I discovered how horses with back soreness can be greatly helped by chiropractic and acupuncture. Now, I don’t expect vet school to teach every possible modality, but it would have been nice to know about these options, so I could have told my clients what they could do. Instead, I was taught chiropractic is pure quackery, when actually, chiropractic has a myriad of scientific studies proving it works.
Renee (00:02:31.20)
And acupuncture is recorded in Chinese medicine going back 3,000 years. So alternative modalities can work. But then what happened? I found that each modality did not work on every horse, and I wondered why. There are over 100 alternative modalities, and I knew I couldn’t learn all of them, and I wanted something better. Lesson three, I learned that horses have energy fields. Of course, we all instinctively know energy fields exist, right? Because we can just We feel them. We feel them when someone is terribly sad or giddily happy. We feel their energy field, which contains their emotions. Science has now measured the horse’s energy field to be at least 10 feet out from the horse in all directions generations. I learned that this energy field, both around the horse and in the horse, contains all the information about the horse’s health. This energy information tells the horse if anything is wrong, so it can fix it because the body is designed heal itself. But what if the body is not healing itself? If it’s not healing, that’s because it either doesn’t know there’s a problem or doesn’t have what it needs to fix it. Therefore, the root cause of most horse problems is blocked energy field communication.
Renee (00:03:46.09)
Lesson 4. I learned that by the time people see or feel a problem, all the compensations have been used up. If the horse cannot fix itself, it has to compensate for the problem. If the horse’s back is sore For example, it will overuse the HOX. When we first see problems, it’s because the HOX’s ability to compensate has been completely used up. Lesson 5. I learned to fix the blocked energy fields. Chiropractic, acupuncture, and many other modalities can help remove these blockages, but all blockages can be corrected with TBT. That’s the Tucker biokinetic technique. People sometimes ask me, How did you discover all this? How did you figure it out? Well, Frankly, I prayed and asked God. I said, Hey, God, you made this horse. How does it really work? Because what I know is not helping enough horses. And over the years, he explained it. In case you’re wondering why I thought to ask God, it’s because he says in the Bible, Ask of me and I will tell you great and mysterious things you do not know. So I asked. It’s worked out really well. Highly recommend. Lesson 6. I’ll cover a a few specific issues in a moment, but first, I learned how to reverse engineer horse health issues.
Renee (00:05:06.10)
I reverse engineer by asking why something is happening, and track down the causes within the horse’s energy field. For example, let’s say a horse has arthritis. In vet school, we’re taught to find the arthritis and help with arthritis pain. We are never taught to ask why is there arthritis in the first place? It’s just assumed it’s from old age or wear and tear, but it’s not. It’s actually due to the liver. If you’re interested, you can see the entire arthritis explanation in this video. Lesson seven, I discovered all horse issues can be fixed. Even the ones vets say can’t be cured. By asking why is this happening? I found that all horse issues can be fixed. Vets don’t know this because they focus on the pain, not the root cause of the pain. But to be clear, it’s not bad to get a horse out of pain. But once you do, I recommend fixing problems at the root. Here are some One of the examples. If a horse is in pain due to ulcers, it’s good to use herbal treatments or even medication, if you need to, to get the horse out of pain. But once you do, realize that horse ulcers are not due to stress or too much pain.
Renee (00:06:15.12)
Horse ulcers are caused by vaccine adjuvents. If you’d like to learn more about how to cure ulcers forever, watch this video. Enhydrosis, or the inability to sweat is another example. Vets have no idea what causes this. But I found It is caused by chemicals trapped in the brain. These chemicals are blocking sweat communication. You can see more about this in this video. Breathe difficulties, such as asthma, have treatments to help breathing. It’s certainly not bad to help horses breathe easier. But then why are they having trouble in the first place? Often it’s because of amalgamated toxins that are trapped in the lungs. There’s a video for that, too. Most horse issues are caused by something in the body that should not be there, that the horse cannot get rid of without help. Everything else has to do with us, with our feeding, with the horse’s feet, and with the horse’s environment. Let me give you some examples. Lessons 8, 9, and 10. Common practices that I once thought were normal could actually create long-term damage. Lesson 8, Nutrition can cause health issues. After all these years, I’ve seen a lot of horses with health issues due to their nutrition.
Renee (00:07:26.12)
Nutrition is very important, and we should be careful with common feeds that could be hurting your horse. Hay is the best option for horses. A variety of grass hay best mimics what the horse would eat in nature. I always thought horses out in a beautiful green pasture would be heavenly and perfect. But actually, grass pasture makes horses sick. Horses need long, fibrous grasses for the best digestion. Grass pasture melts in their gut like sugar cereal. It’s not healthy. Also, rye, alfalf, and are not good for horses. You want a variety of grass hayes available 24/7. Grains and things like beet pulp change the PH of the gut. They should not be given. When the PH changes to digest grain, the microorganisms to digest hay die off. Studies have shown that if the horse is without hay for only 4 hours, the microorganisms start dying. Then it takes about 18 hours for the microorganisms to increase to healthy levels once the horse has hay again. The microorganisms in your horse’s gut are what give your horse energy. If you want more energy for your horse, stop giving grains and give more variety of grass hayes. No rye, no alfalfa, no clover.
Renee (00:08:47.16)
I shared in a previous video, common feeds that are harming your horse. Lesson nine. I learned that horses can develop navicular due to shoes. A horse has what we call navicular disease when the navicular bone hurts. But if you ask why the navicular bone hurts and is having circulation changes, 99. 99% of the time is because of the shoes. Horses shoes always, always contract the heels. This means that over time, the heels of the hoof are squeezed together quite literally. This causes the pain in the navicular bone, which is located between the heel bones. I did not learn this in vet school. I graduated from vet school. I was out there diagnosing navicular, giving pain meds, and hoof circulation meds like isoxaprin, and telling people to raise the heel angle with shoes and pets. But one time, when I checked back with a client, they had not done my recommendations. They said they just didn’t want to do all that. So they pulled off the shoes and put the horse in the pasture. And three months later, he was perfectly fine. This hurt my brain. I wanted to ignore it. I tried for a while, And I hate to tell some of you youngsters, but this was before the Internet.
Renee (00:10:03.19)
I couldn’t research this online, but it stuck in my brain. And I started looking at every navicular horse with new eyes. Fast forward to what I know now, navicular is caused by shoeing. Shoes, period. No, it’s not genetics. And if your barefoot horse has navicular, it’s due to the trim. Shoes are never good for horses. I share more of why horses shoes are bad for horses and why we decided to put shoes on in the first place. In this video. Lesson 10. Cough and bone rotation during laminitis is caused by humans. Now, laminitis or inflammation of the hoof of laminor is caused for a handful of reasons. But the lesson I want to share today is that cough and bone rotation is caused by the currently recommended lamanitis hoof care. This deserves a full video, but in short, for lamanitis, we’re told to raise the heel angle and shorten the toe to make breakover easier. This recommendation, all by itself, causes what we think of as cough and bone rotation. That rotation causes a lot of horses to be put to sleep, and it’s completely unnecessary. It doesn’t rotate because of laminitis. It rotates because of the trim.

If you want subtle signs to look for before your horse runs into real problems, one of the next videos is all about the signs that something is actually going on with your horse. Because one single symptom could actually mean it’s a bigger root issue. If you don’t want to miss that video, subscribe and turn on notifications. Last two lessons. Lesson 11, Energy Work Really Heals Horse Issues at the root. Energy work looks at horses as a whole forest rather than each problem as individual trees. Instead of hyper-focusing on one problem or painful area as it shows up, the energy work looks at the entire horse and finds out why the horse isn’t fixing the problem as it’s designed to do. Remember, by the time we see see or feel a problem, every compensation has been used up. Tbt energy work searches and finds and fixes all the communication problems in the horse so the horse can finally heal. Lesson 12. I learned that horse owners have the power to treat most of their horse issues, no vet required. You just need to know what’s going on and what is actually best for your horse. If you’re an owner, you can start with my Happy Horse mini course.
Renee (00:12:26.16)
Link in the description. After that, I created TBT be accessible to everyone. No medical knowledge or experience is required. Just an open mind to learn about energy work. Someone asked me, why is it important for owners to learn energy work instead of relying only on vets? Well, I hope you know one reason by now. Vets will help with the pain, but finding real causes and helping with chronic issues is not their focus. If you want to fix your horse’s issues forever, you have to find out why the horse isn’t healing. Plus, if you haven’t heard, there’s a veterinary shortage at least in the US, Canada, and Australia, especially the large animal and horse veterinarians. There are currently 2,000 to 3,000 more open jobs than available veterinarians. But if you know what’s best for your horse and you know how to do TBT, the only reason you would ever need a vet is for major traumatic injuries. If this video started opening your eyes to how your horse’s body really works, you have the power to help them in a way most owners never learn. You are your horse’s strongest advocate, not the vet, not the trainer.
Renee (00:13:32.03)
If you want to take that to the next level and learn how to actually heal horses with your own hands, that’s what the TBT University courses teach, step by step. If that’s calling you, the link is right below. Thanks, and I’ll see you next time.
