Horses feel your energy. In this five-minute meditation, you’ll calm your nerves so you can ride safely, stay present, and sink with your horse. Find a quiet and comfortable space. Sit comfortably with your feet on the floor. Feet on the floor connects you to this moment. If you can, during the breathing, count in for four and out for six. Breathing out longer than you breathe in physiologically shifts you into a relaxed state. Let’s begin. Begin by taking a deep breath in through your nose Hold for a moment and exhale slowly through your mouth. Release thoughts, worries, and distractions. Now, breathe in again. Feel your chest rise. In comes divine love and peace and clarity. And exhale, releasing pain and fear or worry. Feel your feet on the ground. Imagine roots coming from your feet, growing into the Earth, steady and strong. With each breath, let go of the tension in your shoulders and your neck and all the muscles of your face. Let your breath soften your chest, your back, and your hands. You are safe, you are calm, you are grounded. Now, imagine your horse standing near you. See their eyes soft and aware.
