TBT saves dog from amputation! [case study]

Do you have time for a happy-ending story? It will brighten your whole day.

Our student, Vanessa Kay, received an emergency call to help this cute dog named Hercules.
(Picture below of Hercules on-the-mend)

Hercules was in kidney failure at 4 years old from suspected congenital kidney problems.

This kidney failure had just caused an embolus (basically a large blood clot) to block his circulation in his low back.

That meant: he couldn’t walk or feel his hind legs and even his back felt cold!

The vet recommended euthanasia.

The owner begged for more time and took the dog home — and immediately called Vanessa.

Vanessa used TBT to help the kidneys. The next day, the vet literally said, “I’m quite surprised with how well the kidneys are doing.”

Next, Vanessa worked on the arteries and veins to help the embolus dissolve and move away.

Soon the back warmed up. The left hind leg warmed up and had feeling too.

But the right hind leg didn’t perk up. No feeling; no response to pain.

So, the vet wants to amputate the right leg!

Again, the owner stalls the vet. And Vanessa keeps working on Hercules.

Two days later, he has feeling in the right hind leg. He is moving it around, and just starting to put a bit of weight on it.

Hercules’ right hind paw had gotten swollen from the lack of circulation. There was loss of hair and redness on the pads and toes.

So, guess what? The vet wants to amputate the paw. [No, I’m not kidding]

Today Hercules is doing great. The right hind leg, including the paw, are nearly 100% — and we expect it to be 100% very soon.

I don’t know why some vets want to remove parts that aren’t working.

I guess it’s because they don’t think it can possibly be fixed.

That’s why I’m sharing these stories. Because everything can be fixed with TBT, given enough time.

Hercules went from “about to be euthanized” to “doing just fine” in seven days.
