Born and raised in Germany my love of horses was first sparked, when I spent one of my school holidays at a stable where I learned the basics around horse care and riding. Later I started training under Hubertus Schmidt, who went on to become an accomplished Olympian Dressage rider. When the opportunity arose for my father to rescue an abandoned Pony, my sister and I had our dream come true to own our first Horse. Dressage and Showjumping were the main areas of focus during that time and the special connection with the horses of course.
A few years after moving to New Zealand, my mother’s home country, I immersed myself in studying Animal Homeopathy for 4 years, then on to Equine Craniosacral and from there diverged slightly to qualify as a Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapist for Humans. Then back to more Equine specific trainings: Neuro-Myofascial Release, Kinesio Taping,… and esp. The Masterson Method, which was a real turning point. I am part of the Masterson Method Coaching team now and love reaching more horses through spreading awareness and teaching the Masterson Method. Learning never stops :)
I work primarily with horses, but also Equestrians and other people, who don’t necessarily have the horse bug. The connection to Germany is still helpful for ongoing studies, research and networking so that I can stay up to date and help horses in the best possible way.
